My career began in the heart of Nairobi's financial sector, at Citibank's Treasury and Trade Solutions division and later at I&M Bank, where I spent seven years building the analytical rigour that would define every chapter that followed. I learned to read balance sheets, structure debt, and present to boardrooms long before I ever set foot in a venture pitch deck.

The pivot came through Dream VC, where I sourced over 40 African startups and built my first valuation models for pre-seed companies. That fellowship was the bridge: from the precision of banking to the ambiguity of early-stage investing.

Moving to Halifax to pursue my Master of Technology, Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Saint Mary's University opened the door to Canada's Atlantic startup ecosystem. Through Tribe Network, I grew from analyst to lead to manager, becoming the connective tissue between founders, investors, and support institutions across the region.

Today, I'm channelling everything I've learned into building ChasmJumpers a platform that connects early-stage startups with real product testers. Because after years of watching MVPs stall, I'm building the tool I wished existed.
